Paul Wisniewski is the guitar player in Four Years Gone. He wishes he could be Tony Iommi but he claims his fingers are too long and they "get in the way". Paul spends his days tending the cubicle farm at Ford Credit, turning red boxes to green. Nothing could be more fulfilling than that! Often criticized for holding a steady job, a lack of fashion sense, and a guitar style consisting mostly of power chords and hammer ons, Paul's response is "You wish you were as good as me!". Q: What are your musical influences?
A: Early Ozzy-Sabbath, Dio, Diamondhead, Mercyful Fate, the Who, Ramones, Zeppelin, Weezer, and that Pete guy who showed me the Secret to Modern Metal. Thanks to him I am almost caught up to 1995.
Q: What CD's are you listening to these days?
A: In the CD changer I've got Iron Maiden's Powerslave, Jimmy Eat World's "Bleed American", Metallica's "Master of Puppets", Down II, and local favorite Inner Recipe's "Demos 2002
Q: Do you think dave will ever get another job?
A: No. He doesn't seem to like working much. Maybe when Amy cuts his cookie budget he will go apply at Mrs. Field's in the mall.
Q: Do you prefer being the red or the blue cyborg when playing halo?
A: I don't really care what color I am as long as Jeff is the other color and I'm in a Scorpion Tank and he's flailing around whilst I run him down.
Q: What's your take on Nu-Metal?
A: It sucks. It seems most bands have forgotten how to write a song. All I hear are those stoopid detuned bass notes that muddy up the whole mix. There are no guitar solos or even recognizable licks. There's a singer (and I use that term loosely) rapping or screaming about how his Dad didn't take him to Disneyworld when he was a kid. This is the formula for success in this nu-metal world of ours and I hate it. But what do I know? © 2004, Four Years Gone. All rights reserved.
